It's for middle aged people now.
Just seen the tweets regarding the horrendous traffic jams and they appear to be in the main from people over 40 trying to pretend that they are still cool and go to festivals.
Looks as though they have all hired winnebagos for the event as camping is not for them.
I'll watch it on the BBC in the comfort of my own home.

Went last year...was ok..good and bad like most things. All depends on weather for me, only rained 1 day which made the experience a bit better. Toilets are fucking rancid. Christ, the smell. Someone had drawn a smiley face in their own poo on one of the inside of the doors.
Tried to put off having a shit for few days to avoid the long walks but upon leaving , i laid the biggest turd javelin in my life in one of the shitters way out, just stood in awe of my creation. Probably wouldn't go again. Some people rock up every year same spot, saddos

I jumped the fence 3 times in 2000 (one to get in, one to get in after I'd got a wristband and jumped out to give it to my then bird) and one to jump in after I'd been caught jumping in the second time and was chucked out at the other side of the festival.
I also saw Bowie and the cocktail of stuff I was on made it a very pleasurable experience.

I'm pre-registered for next year's Glasto. But after this year IOW was truncated for family reasons (and the 2.5 days I did manage being fucking brilliant), I'll probably be back at Newport once again.

Was reading that most of the traffic queues are because people arrived before the car parks were open.
After being told to delay their arrival
I guess you can only expect so much from people who are paying to get rained on in a muddy field and watch Adele and Coldplay.

Went the Rolling Stones year. Stayed in them wigwam efforts. It was a 25 man stag, really enjoyed it. Would I go again? Like fuck.
Looking at the state of that place now, god knows what it will look like by Friday.

last time i went was 2006. I got back to my tent after a hard nights partying on the monday morning to be confronted by my then girlfriend, who i'd forgotten existed some hours previously. I decided after that to jack in all the shit.
